Our specialisations are in the areas of: private sector development (PSD), international and regional trade, agribusiness services, aquaculture research, policy and implementation, community development and sustainable livelihoods, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), and financial services.

ICL has a successful history of working on individual and joint consultancy assignments, regionally and internationally. We work with and advise policy makers, governments, development agencies, private sector companies and regional and international organisations across a wide range of sectors. Our overarching mission is to improve the lives of Malawians by reducing poverty through sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Committed to pioneering and innovative approaches towards fostering poverty reduction, we draw primarily on the knowledge and expertise of our local and international staff base, associates, and our wide networks of partners and stakeholders.

We pride ourselves on the outcome-focused, evidence-based outputs that we deliver and the long term, collaborative relationships we forge with our clients. This is achieved through our dedicated and professional workforce. Our staff uses their individual and collective expertise to help provide our clients with meaningful, bespoke solutions to projects which are often complex and challenging in nature. Our expertise has been gained through living and working in developing countries and having an informed and current understanding of the social, economic and political needs and challenges present at both macro and micro level in such countries.
